Coming to Know the Savior

We know how we can learn about Jesus Christ, but how can we come to know him?

Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, but he is also our personal Savior. I struggled with this distinction for most of my adolescence. I learned about the Savior—who he was, what he did, and what he taught—but I didn’t understand how to know him personally. Whenever I heard heartfelt testimonies of the Savior, I knew there was something there that I wanted, but I didn’t know where to begin.

A website titled “Jesus Christ, the Son of God,” produced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is a resource that can help. To come to know Christ, we start by learning about him, and then we apply his principles to our own lives. The website contains various sections based on common questions about who Jesus Christ is, why we need him, and what we can learn from him. These pages include resources that explore these questions and offer ideas to apply the Savior’s doctrine in our lives.

The website contains various resources to help develop a personal testimony of the Savior. There are talks, videos, and scripture references based on questions about Jesus Christ. Studying these principles and applying them to our lives can help us develop a personal testimony of Christ. The more we come to know him, the more we will love him, and the more we will feel his redeeming love in our lives.
