We at Latter-day Saint Insights are excited to announce our Fall 2025 Writing Contest. The theme for this contest is to honor the legacy of President Russell M. Nelson, who passed away on September 27th, 2025 at the age of 101.
President Nelson was a champion for peace, and one of his most notable talks during his time as prophet was “Peacemakers Needed,” given in the October 2023 General Conference. Thus, we introduce our theme:
“How have you implemented President Nelson’s invitation
to be a peacemaker?”
We invite you to write a short essay (250–500 words) in which you share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences on this topic.
