Changing the Name of Mormon Insights

We are changing the name of our website, and we want your input! Help us choose a name by taking a quick survey.

We, the Mormon Insights staff, have been working hard to change our name in order to follow President Nelson’s counsel. We want you to have a say in this big change, so we made a two-minute survey with some of the potential names.

In the October 2018 General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the current prophet, President Nelson, encouraged us to avoid the term “Mormon” and instead use names that reflect the Savior, Jesus Christ, when referring to his church. In his talk “The Correct Name of the Church,” President Nelson said, “I did this because the Lord impressed upon my mind the importance of the name He decreed for His Church, even The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Our mission at Mormon Insights is to “provide concise information about and easy access to the work of Latter-day Saint leaders and scholars.” We strive to follow the teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the current prophet of the Church. We hope that you will help us do that by taking our survey! It will be open until April 10th, 2019. Thank you for supporting us in this process.

Sincerely,

The Mormon Insights Staff
